Beloit Peoples Church’s food pantry is a free public ministry to the community providing food for needy families in the area. We are connected with the Second Harvest food bank which is where we get most of our food.
The food varies each month but include bread, produce, canned vegetables, frozen meats, fresh vegetables, eggs, milk, sweets and dairy products such as yogurt and cheese. The truck delivers the food to the church on the Monday mornings that we have the pantry.
The Agape Food Pantry is open on the 3rd Monday of each month. See Calendar
How the Pantry works
People who are interested in receiving food can come in on any Monday that we are open. The only information that is required is the number of people in the residence and then that is broken down to number of children, adults and seniors over 60. The doors open at NOON, you are given a number, and we start calling out the numbers and distributing the food at 1 p.m.
Call the church office 1-608-362-7556, on any Wisconsin numbered phone, to verify the dates for the pantry.
How you can become involved
We need volunteers on the days People’s Church food pantry is open. Please call the church office, 1-608-362-7556 and you will be put in contact with Richard. Richard manages the food pantry and would love to meet you and have you become part of her helpers.
